Abstract

For those practicing teachers registered for a Certificate in Psycho-Pedagogy leading, in principle, to a legal teaching certification for Quebec, the University of Montreal's Faculty of Education has prepared and offers a Self-Confrontation course (S-C). The author, after defining "S-C," describes the objectives that researchers in this discipline had assigned themselves. He not only describes the method used, but also the activity path followed; he talks about the future of "S-C" and discloses the findings of a survey conducted among students having successfully completed this course. As a conclusion, the author enumerates the most important conditions required to ensure the success of self-confrontation.
