Teacher Training for the Gifted and Major Issues in Gifted Child Education

Étant donné la remise en vigueur des dispositions particulières régissant l'enseignement qui s'adresse aux enfants surdoués, la sélection et la formation des enseignants de ce secteur attirent de nouveau l'attention. Nous décrivons les liens historiques entre l'enseignement donné aux surdoués et l'orthopédagogie, les hypothèses qui sont à la base des programmes accélérés ou enrichis, les grands débats qui se déroulent actuellement et ceux qu'il faudra entreprendre. Nous relions tous ces aspects à la formation des enseignants et nous les remettons parfois en question. Les problèmes que soulève la formation des enseignants qui oeuvrent dans le secteur des enfants surdoués revêtent une importance capitale dans la poursuite de l'excellence en éducation.
