History and Moral Education in Correctional Education

Ces cinq dernières années, l'histoire a été l'une des deux disciplines requises dans le programme de l'Université de Victoria à l'Institution Matsqui, la seconde étant l'anglais. Ayant enseigné l'histoire au sein de ce programme pendant quatre de ces années, je ne pouvais établir clairement pourquoi l'histoire devait mériter une telle prééminence dans un programme axé sur le développement moral des prisonniers. Cet article tente de répondre à la question et pèse la contribution qu'apporte l'étude de l'histoire à un tel processus.
