Le Rôle du Langage et de la Culture dans les Processus d’Apprentissage et dans la Planification Éducative

Abstract

Dans cet article l’auteur fait un tour d’horizon des divers aspects de l’éducation où le langage et la culture semblent jouer un rôle important. Dans une première partie les implications de la variation entre langue maternelle et langue d’enseignement sont analysées; ensuite l’on soulève les problèmes créés lorsque la langue d’enseignement est différente de la langue maternelle ainsi que les problèmes du bilinguisme en général; enfin la dernière partie analyse les aspects socio-psychologiques pertinents à l’apprentissage d’une langue seconde. Pour chacun de ces domaines les différentes approches fondamentales les plus importantes sont discutées ainsi que leur impact possible dans la planification éducative. Les conclusions portent sur la nécessité de prêter une attention plus grande au contexte socio-culturel du développement du langage et sur le besoin d’une plus grande cohérence entre la recherche fondamentale et appliquée dans le domaine du langage et de l’éducation.
