L'école secondaire et les Franco-Ontariens: Expression des besoins et perception des services

The establishment of French secondary schools in Ontario dates back to the year 1968. We have attempted in the first place to examine the history of secondary school education for Franco-Ontarians. A systematic collection of the perceptions of services offered by the French secondary schools and the mixed schools was then completed. Finally, in concluding, specific areas of further research were identified. On the whole, we have noted sizable differences between the French secondary schools and the mixed schools. In general, the data favour the French schools as responding more adequately to the aspirations of its clientele.
