Practical Reasoning in Corrections Education

Des ouvrages récents dans le domaine de « l'éducation correctionnelle » ont mis en lumière les besoins de développer la qualité de la pensée et du raisonnement chez les « détenus ». À l'intérieur des cadres d'un projet spécial de recherche « The Association for Values Education and Research (AVER) de l'Université de Colombie Britannique » a mis sur pied un cours sur la « pensée critique » à l'intention des détenus d'une institution carcérale à sécurité moyenne. Durant une période de six semaines on a enseigné aux élèves (détenus) les composantes d'une pensée rationnelle. Les résultats permettent de penser que cette approche serait efficace en « éducation correctionnelle ».
